AARI constitution

Summary of the Constitution of the Asian Association for Reproductive Immunology, revised May 2025.

Name

The organization shall be called Asian Association for Reproductive Immunology (AARI).

Purposes

Promote cooperation among clinical and basic scientists and students, foster talent, encourage young researchers, and amplify Asia's presence internationally.

Structure

AARI does not maintain a fixed headquarters at this stage. Secretariat functions may rotate among founding countries.

Membership

Membership categories include ordinary, student, honorary, and emeritus members. No dues are collected at this stage.

Executive Committee

The committee includes a President, two Vice Presidents, and three Secretaries, one each from Japan, Korea, and China.

Meetings

ACRI is held every year or two years and rotates among member countries. The General Assembly is convened during the biennial meeting.

Committees

Functional committees may be established as needed, including scientific program, communication, membership, and outreach committees.

Amendments

Amendments require Executive Committee proposal and two-thirds approval by the General Assembly.

Founding countries

The founding members of AARI are Japan, Korea, and China. Membership is open to other Asian countries.

What the constitution means in practice

The current constitution emphasizes low-barrier participation, rotating leadership, and regional collaboration. At this stage, AARI does not collect membership dues and keeps secretariat functions flexible while the congress network grows.
